I am a Postdoctoral Researcher affiliated with the Synthesis Center for Conservation and Restoration (sCORE) at the Chicago Botanic Garden, where I collaborate within interdisciplinary teams to carry out projects focused on plant restoration. Our dual objectives include generating and assessing seedling trait data for plants designated for nationwide restoration efforts and compiling a comprehensive dataset on tallgrass prairie restoration outcomes to discern patterns. Additionally, my work involves exploring knowledge sources and systems pertaining to Black, Indigenous, Latina, and other People of Color in the restoration context, contributing to the development of an inclusive restoration network. My graduate studies focused on understanding the impacts of modern agricultural practices on current and future plant-herbivore interactions in adjacent habitats.
